A workshop in Maremma
Tommasini begins where craftsmen still know the smell of brazed brass: a small atelier in the heart of Tuscany. The first frames leave the workshop in matte enamel, thin steel and quiet ambition.
L’Atelier
Since 1957 our home has been the same: a quiet corner of Maremma where steel is brazed by hand, titanium is welded under argon, and every bicycle leaves the building with a name on the dropout.
Our Story
01 — 1957
Tommasini begins where craftsmen still know the smell of brazed brass: a small atelier in the heart of Tuscany. The first frames leave the workshop in matte enamel, thin steel and quiet ambition.
02 — 1970s
Our racing pedigree carries Tommasini frames onto the great roads of Europe and across the Atlantic. The signature script enters cycling iconography.
03 — Today
Six decades later we still don’t outsource. We forge titanium, hand-file lugged steel, and build every frame around a single rider. Made to Measure remains the only way we know.
Officina
Three benches. One TIG argon chamber. A small library of jigs, files and gauges that have travelled with us since the 1960s. There is no production line — there is a sequence of hands.
Every Tommasini frame begins as a paper blueprint, then a chalk line on the steel slab, then sparks, then the long quiet of finishing.
